Musumba has continued to provide clarification about the corpses by saying that among the 236 corpses that are expected thrown away, 218 were received and kept at the hospital in the city of Nairobi and another 18 corpses were kept at the mortuary at the Mama Lucy hospital in the city.

According to the health laws in Kenya, close relatives are required to identify the corpses of their relatives within 7 days, and failure to do so will give the relevant hospital the opportunity to take the bodies and dispose of them or hide them as ordered by the law enforcement agencies, and thus due to and that law, the Hospitals have reached the point of deciding to dispose of the bodies after they could not be identified for a long period of almost a whole year.
